Inspired by the functional beauty of Japanese cookware, this unique ceramic piece is designed for making fresh tofu. No two molds are the same, as the hand throwing and glazing process creates irreplicable wabi-sabi beauty. Curves soften during the firing process, and glazes take on movement and life of their own.

This piece is glazed in a speckled matte green, with hues ranging from lighter to darker greens. During the firing process, natural clay was exposed on non-glazed portions, leaving soft cream to peek out from under moss green underglaze.

**PLEASE READ** This piece is a studio second: The bowl lid is not a functional bowl. During the firing process, many small, sharp bubbles formed on its surface. While they have been sanded down for smoothness, this piece remains unsuitable for use as dinnerware. Top bowl lid is for DECORATION ONLY. As our mission at The Tofu Stop is to reduce waste, we are offering this product at a steep discount. The other two pieces (press and base), which are the only pieces necessary in the tofu-making process, are not at all impacted and are fully functional.
